Let’s Talk About Your Land

Professional land restoration using targeted grazing and sustainable vegetation management throughout Maryland and Virginia.

Each project is evaluated based on vegetation type and density, terrain, environmental sensitivity, accessibility, and restoration goals. Our grazing plans are designed to reduce unwanted vegetation while minimizing soil disturbance and supporting long-term land health.

Land restoration is not a one-size-fits-all service. Project scope and pricing are determined by acreage, vegetation density, terrain, accessibility, herd requirements, temporary fencing, mobilization, and the number of grazing rotations required to achieve the land-management objective.

Every project begins with a site evaluation and customized grazing plan.

Goat’s favorite things to eat are Poison Ivy, Kudzu, Phragmites, Knotweed, Wisteria, Oriental Bittersweet, Multiflora Rose, Japanese Honeysuckle, and Reed Grass.

When machinery isn’t the best tool for the job.

Goats work where machines simply can’t.

Steep slopes. Wetlands. Stormwater ponds.  Sensitive ecosystems.  Historic sites.  Dense woods.

Our goats safely clear invasive vegetation in places that are difficult, or impossible for traditional equipment to reach.

Unlike heavy machinery, goats/sheep don’t cause soil compaction, rutting, or damage to sensitive landscapes.

You don’t need a permit to use goats in the critical area.

We specialize in projects from 1/2 acre to 100 acres throughout Maryland and Virginia.

Our services are designed for projects of 1/2 acre and larger.

Projects start at $2,250

Your next option could be herbicides.

Let’s face it, even if used by a licensed applicator, you are still harming the environment for generations to come.  Do you want that?  I certainly don’t.  “SPRAYING is not cool.”

Disclaimer: Goats do not eat English Ivy as a first preference; if you have an English Ivy problem and that’s the only thing for the goats to eat, our goats are not the best choice for you. Furthermore, they will strip the plants and trees they enjoy from the top down; they eat the ground cover last. They leave the stalks of the briar bushes and small trees.  As a result, don’t expect the property to look like a man-powered weed-eater went through when the goats are finished. If the job is less than a half-acre, Browsing Green Goats for rent is not your best option, as we have a minimum charge that may not be feasible for a small lot.

In conclusion, not all job sites work out for the goats/sheep.  Hiring Browsing Green Goats of Maryland and Virginia isn’t always best, which is why an evaluation is necessary.
